Pinjarra Race Club is situated on Racecourse Road, Pinjarra, an idyllic location 85km south-west of Perth in the beautiful Peel Region.

Coming from Mandurah or Perth via Kwinana Freeway:

Go along Pinjarra Road, turn left at the traffic lights in Pinjarra onto the South West Highway. Turn right after the bridge into Williams Road (look for the Premier Hotel at the corner). Your second street to the left is Racecourse Road.

Parking and Transport at Pinjarra Horse Races
Free public parking is available at the entrance to the racecourse. Our friendly car park staff will guide you.Train Services run daily between Perth and Bunbury, stopping at Pinjarra. It’s only a short walk from Pinjarra Train Station to the racecourse. Please see the link for details. Trains run regularly between Perth and Mandurah. You can catch the Special Raceday Bus from the Mandurah Train Station to Pinjarra Park. Please see the link for the Train Timetable. A special Bus Service is available on every race meeting. Please contact Peel Bus Hire & Charters or ring the office to book your seat. Booking is essential!

PINJARRA HORSE RACES BAR AND RESTAURANT FACILITIES
Pinjarra Park has a variety of on-course hospitality facilities that cater for all your needs. There is a great range of options available to excellent prices for everyone. No one needs to be hungry or thirsty! Relax and enjoy our friendly hospitality in the upstairs Bridles Restaurant, the air-conditioned Family of Man Restaurant, at the bar or in a private gazebo under the shady trees.

The new Bridles Restaurant is located within the elevated Members’ Area and provides the best views of the racecourse, making it the perfect setting for a very special day at the races. Watch the racing action from the comfort of your reserved table and follow interstate racing on the Big Screen (on weekends and public holidays). Bridles Restaurant is equipped with Bar and Tote Facilities as well as TV-Monitors above the tables. Please contact the office for bookings. The air-conditioned Family of Man Restaurant will provide you with a great range of meals, from snacks to three course menus. Assorted beverages are sold in the restaurant as well. If you wish to book a table, please call the office.

A variety of takeaways is available from the Takeaway-Window which is located at the outside of the restaurant. Pinjarra Park is fully licenced and for that reason alcohol cannot be brought into the racecourse. Enjoy a cool drink at the Main Bar and be close to the betting action. Meet the trainers and owners at the Leger Bar or relax at the Bookies Bar. There are also separate bar facilities and light refreshments available in the Indoor and Outdoor Members’ Area. A Sausage Sizzle and Ice-cream Van complete the hospitality options on most race days.

OTHER FACILITIES AT PINJARRA HORSE RACES

Betting Facilities
Pinjarra Race Club provides over 20 tote terminals. The main tote area is under the Grandstand, next to the Main Bar. Further tote terminals are located at the Ledger Bar and Bookies Bar. There are also tote facilities available in the Members’ Lounge, operating to the Indoor and Outdoor Members' Area. Punters have the opportunity to have a bet with local bookmakers who are waiting for you in the bookies ring.

Public Seating
Public Seating is available in front of the Mounting Yard and more than half of the Grandstand is open to the public. The Pinjarra Race Club provides a number of free tables and chairs but you are welcome to bring your own picnic chairs. If you bring a group and require reserved tables and chaires (including private fenced off area) please see Functions & Promotions.

Merchandising
Come and collect a worthwhile memento of a great day at the races! Our Merchandise Kiosk offers a wide range of Pinjarra Park Souvenirs including Stubby Holders, Polo Shirts (sizes S-XXXL in green and white), Caps and, of course, Racebooks. Stubby Holders are also available at all bars and the Raceday Office.

EFTPOS
EFTPOS Facilities are available at the Raceday Office. There is no strict limit to your cash withdrawals, but please note that CREDIT ACCOUNTS can NOT be utilised on-course.

Toilet Facilities
Public Toilets and a Disabled Persons Toilet are located between the Merchandising Kiosk and the “Family of Man Restaurant”. Additional toilets are available in the Members’ Lounge.

Disabled Facilities
The Pinjarra Races car park has several disabled parking spaces close to the Main Entry Gate. Please ask our friendly car park staff for assistance. Disabled Toilets are located within the Public Toilet complex. Unfortunately there are no Disabled Facilities in the Members’ Lounge. Wheelchair viewing platforms (accessible via a ramp) are located at the front of the Grandstand’s Public Seating Area.

First Aid
Minor cuts and scratches??? Feeling unwell??? The First Aid Room is located behind the Raceday Office. We are certain that our friendly First Aid Staff will put a smile on your face again. An Ambulance and a Raceday Doctor are also on-course for every race meeting.

Raceday Office
The Raceday Office is the main contact point for any enquiries on racedays. It is located next to the Mounting Yard and Jockeys Area. The Raceday Office has EFTPOS Facilities available and sells Racebooks, Stubby Holders and Members’ Lounge Passes. On sunny days we have free sunscreen available and we also deal with lost/ found property. Horse Trainers will receive their free Racebooks at the Raceday Office and Winning Owners can collect their complimentary DVDs at the end of the race meeting from the Raceday Office.

Video Van
The Video Van is located opposite the Takeaway Window. All Winning Owners will receive a free DVD after their race. The DVDs can also be picked up at the Raceday Office after the race meeting.

Our Course Photographer, Scott Hollands, and his team take high quality race photos on every meeting. If you would like a snap-shot of your favourite horse, just see Scott at his stand next to the Leger Bar.

RACEDAY INFORMATION

This season, the Pinjarra Race Club is offering a unique bonus to trainers who race their horses at Pinjarra Park. For each of our 22 race meetings, the Club will offer a bonus of $10,000 to any trainer who trains a treble of winners on any one raceday. Good horses generate greater interest in our race meetings, leading to even greater exposure for the Club.

Raceday Office

Visitors to Pinjarra Park will enjoy a variety of entertainment and activities throughout the racing season. Themed racedays, live music, special events, raceday competitions, promotions, draws and more are on offer to entertain you!

Children’s Entertainment provided on a rotating basis includes Fairy Floss, Clowns, Balloon Twister, Bouncy Castles, Face Painting and Horse Rides. TRACK INFORMATION

General Information
A major reconstruction of the track was undertaken in 2007/2008. The track was widened and the turns were cambered to improve safety for horses and riders. An extensive drainage grid was installed along with state of the art irrigation systems. The track is 1837m in circumference, 24m wide all way around with the length of the home straight 336m.
Pinjarra Park now compares favourably with any race track in Australia. It is widely acknowledged for its safe racing surface and fairness to all horses.

Track Rules
The Sand Track Facilities at the racecourse are for jogging and slow work only. The Club will advise dates and times for fast work on the Grass Track. All horses exercised in the Stable Area must have a bit in their mouth. Trainers who are leading horses in the Stable Area must do so on foot and not while riding another horse.

Membership Facilities
Members' Facilities include the Indoor Lounge with access to the Committee Room and the Outdoor Lounge which includes the new Bridles Restaurant. Both lounges are air-conditioned, have full tote facilities, multiple TV display units, separate bar, complimentary tea and coffee, access to male and female toilets and panoramic views of the racecourse. There is also a designated open Members' Seating Area on the Grandstand. Children are most welcome in the front tiered seating section of the Members’ Area when accompanied by an adult, but those under the age of 16 are not permitted in the Indoor or Outdoor Members’ Lounges at any time.

 


Special Offers to Members
Racing Tour to Japan 2010
The Pinjarra Racing Club will be organising a racing tour to Japan in May/June of next year. The tour will be arranged to coincide with the running of the Group 1 YASUDA KINEN, a major 1600m race which is the final leg of the Asian Mile Challenge—a series which takes in “mile” races at Caulfield (Victoria), Hong Kong, Dubai and Japan.  It is likely that an Australian horse will compete in Japan. The YASUDA KINEN is run at the superb FUCHU RACECOURSE in TOKYO—one of the great racecourses of the world.

Pinjarra Race Club Members' Tote Voucher Draw
The Members' Tote Voucher Draw is open to all “paid up” and “financial” Members, who have the chance to win ONE of 5 x $20 On-Course Tote Vouchers each meeting. Members are required to register their attendance on raceday to be eligible for the Members' Tote Voucher Draw. The registration book will be displayed at the entrance to the Members' Lounge.The draw is conducted after Race 6 and winners' names are displayed in the Members' Area.

Introduce a New Member to Pinjarra Races
A strong membership base is vital to the continued development of your club. The Committee believes that, with the population growth of the Pinjarra / Mandurah area, it should be possible to achieve a doubling of membership numbers.
Current members, therefore, are encouraged to "Introduce a New Member" (or Members)! During this racing season, each member who introduces a new member to the Club will receive a betting voucher to the value of  $40. All new members introduced in this way will receive a $20 dining voucher to be used in the Family of Man Restaurant on any raceday (with the exception of Pinjarra Cup Day).

MEMBERS' LOUNGE DRESS REGULATIONS
Ladies and Gentlemen are expected to be well groomed, with smart casual attire. Please see the complete Dress Code for the Members’ Lounge. Children are most welcome in the front tiered seating section of the Members' Area when accompanied by an adult, but those under the age of 16 are not permitted in the Indoor or Outdoor Members' Lounges at any time.

The Club has been able to retain most of its valued sponsors from previous racing seasons, and the continuing support of these sponsors is sincerely appreciated. However, with the racing programme of the Club set to increase significantly in the future, Pinjarra Park offers superb opportunities for businesses to advertise and promote their products and services.
Members are encouraged to introduce new sponsors to the Club whenever opportunity arises. A simple phone call to the office could assist the Committee to establish a new partnership, with mutual benefits to the sponsor and the Club.

Facilities and Costs
Family of Man Restaurant
The Family of Man Restaurant is a rustic, country style restaurant which can comfortably seat up to 80 people. It’s the perfect facility for your next Birthday or Wedding Anniversary. The restaurant is available at a rental  for the whole day (and/ or evening)

Members’ Area (upstairs indoor and outdoor)
The upstairs Indoor and Outdoor Members' Areas provide a stunning view onto the racecourse and surroundings. There is sufficient space for up to 200 people and it's therefore the perfect venue to cater for your next Business Meeting or Morning Tea Function. Both the Indoor and Outdoor Area have bar and toilet facilities. The Indoor Area is also air-conditioned. Both areas are available at a fee per day plus cleaning fees and staff costs.

Outdoor Area
Our expansive lawns and shady trees provide a relaxed atmosphere and are perfect for your next big event. From Garden Party to Exhibitions, everything is possible. The area can hold more than 4000 people comfortably and has three large outdoor bars available. Additional shade tents, gazebos or marquees can be arranged.
